How this website handles your information

This website is operated by Wilson Meredith, an independent IT consultant serving small and medium businesses in the New York City area. This policy explains what information the site collects, what happens to it, and the choices you have. It applies only to this website, not to services I perform for clients under separate agreements.

What I collect

Contact form. When you send a message through the form on this site, you may provide your name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message. This is the only information you are asked to provide.

IT Advisor tool. If you describe an IT challenge in the IT Advisor section, the text you type is sent to an artificial-intelligence service that generates suggested services and next steps. You should not include confidential business details, passwords, or personal information about others in what you type there.

Email. If you email me directly, I receive whatever you choose to send, including your email address.

This site does not run advertising trackers and does not collect information about you from other websites or data brokers. I do not profile visitors or sell anything to them.

How your information is used

Information from the contact form is stored in this website's secure database and used for one purpose: reading and replying to your inquiry. When a message arrives, a notification email containing your name, contact details, and message is delivered to me so I can respond, and I can reply to you directly from that notification.

IT Advisor submissions are used only to generate the suggestions you see on screen. They are not added to any mailing list and are not used for marketing.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and I do not use it to advertise to you.

Service providers

This website runs on third-party infrastructure: a hosting and database provider that stores form submissions, an email delivery provider that carries the contact notifications, and an AI provider that processes IT Advisor requests. These providers process information only on my behalf to operate the site. I do not otherwise share your information except when the law requires it.

Retention and security

Contact messages are kept for as long as they remain useful for answering inquiries and maintaining basic business records, and are deleted when they are no longer needed. The database is access-controlled and encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending passwords, payment card numbers, or other highly sensitive information through the form.

Your choices

You can ask me at any time to tell you what information I hold about you from this website, correct it, or delete it. Email wilson@wilsonmeredith.com and I will take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
